Ramblings of a Redhead Music Snob

Life & Music in New York, My City

  • You Heard It Here First

I just started writing for the blog Indieball. Indieball is the web's best place for outstanding, innovative, eye-opening indie pop. Give us a month and we'll bring your iPod back from the dead. It's our promise to you.

    Liam and Me from Philadelphia.
They will be playing their brand of fun, indie, dance, pop music at The Highline Ballroom. Its an early show beware and is all ages. The boys are way cute, so expect the high-pitched screaming girls all over the place.

About Me….

I could go on for hours about how great I am :) But what you should know. I am now a New Yorker (not a native), that honor goes to the great state of California. I am a Cali-girl, born and raised. I went to school at University of California Santa Barbara. Still one of the biggest party schools in the U.S. But I did come out of there with a degree in Latin American & Iberian Studies. I am currently a legal assistant at a prestigious lawfirm in Manhattan. I am an avid photographer, just now getting back into photographing the world I see. Manhattan is perfect for that. You can see my photos on my flickr website. Rachel’s Pics What else. I am 32 years old, I still don’t look near my age. I am trying to see as much of New York as I can. I go to more concerts than ever before – CMJ here I come. Not as many movies, but I still have a love for foreign and indie films.

Of course – there is so much more to me. Stay up to date with me through this website.

    Hi Rachel,

Noticed your link on the subscription request and decided to check out your blogs. Pretty cool. I like Bollywood films. My favorite is Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Borrowed it from Kaushal Pandya. I see it is now available on Netflix, so I’ll probably rent it,

Wishing you well and thank you for subscribing to my Health E-Tips news.

    Hey Rachel,

Totally dug your coverage of Lollapalooza, especially Daft Punk! As soon as my coworker showed me his pics from last night’s show in New York, I knew that I should have gone. Once he told me that this was one of Daft Punk’s last tour stops, I knew that I really should have gone. Right now, I’m just hoping that I can figure out a way to go to Las Vegas to see them at Vegoose!

I’m actually putting together a social network featuring informal reviews for Manhattan venues (concert spaces, restaurants, spas, etc.) and events (concerts, parties, plays) and I thought that you’d enjoy being a part of our beta testing period. It would be a great opportunity for you to write reviews, promote local events and your blog on a new social network, and connect with people through technology that connects people both online and offline. Let me know if you’d be interested in participating and maybe we can connect in person and have some drinks!

    Cheers,
    Wale
